This Genuine LUMINOR BLACKCOMB RQ-999 UV Replacement Quartz Sleeve is the replacement sleeve for LUMINOR BLACKCOMB UV water purification systems LB4-151, LB5-151, and LB6-151.

The quartz sleeve keeps the UV lamp from shorting out and maintains the lamp's ideal operating temperature. Mineral build-up hinders the lamp's effectiveness, so if  the sleeve cannot be 100% cleaned, it needs to be replaced.  It is recommended to clean the UV sleeve at least annually and have a spare UV sleeve available, which is an easy do it yourself replacement.
